About AlQurani

AlQurani (قرآني— “my Quran”) is a free online Quran reader. It shows the complete Quran — all 114 surahs — in the verified Uthmani script of the Madinah Mushaf, with word-by-word recitation audio, tajwīd colouring, translations in five languages, and classical tafsir from four scholarly works.

What we believe a Quran site owes its readers

• Free, with nothing held back. Every feature — translations, tafsir, audio, tajwīd — is free for everyone. Nothing sits behind a paywall, and there are no ads next to the Quran.
• Privacy by default. No accounts and no sign-up. Your reading position, notes, and bookmarks are stored on your own device, not on our servers. Prayer times are calculated on your device; if you share your location for them, it is used locally and never uploaded. We use only cookieless, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read.
• Textual integrity. The Arabic is real Unicode text from the authenticated King Fahd Glyphs (QPC) Madinah Mushaf data — selectable, searchable, and readable by assistive technology — never an image or a private glyph encoding.
• Named sources, always. Every translation and every tafsir on this site is a published scholarly work, named and attributed on the page where it appears. We never machine-translate scripture. Details are on the methodology page.

An independent project

AlQurani is independently built and maintained. It is not affiliated with any government, organisation, or sect, and it does not publish religious rulings of its own — where the site presents meaning, it quotes named translators and classical commentators, and readers are encouraged to consult qualified scholars for guidance.
