Hasbunallah wa Ni’mal Wakil — “God is enough for us” (Quran 3:173)
“Hasbunallah wa ni’mal wakil” is the transliteration of the words that close verse 173 of Surah Ali 'Imran (The Family of Imraan), the 3rd chapter of the Quran. Abdel Haleem renders them “God is enough for us: He is the best protector.” The verse sits in Juz 4 of the Medinan surah and is widely recited.

Context
Verse 173 of Surah Ali 'Imran (200 verses) sits in the passage that follows the Battle of Uhud: verse 172 describes “those who responded to God and the Messenger after suffering defeat”; verse 173 records what they replied when told an army had amassed against them; and verse 174 reports that they “returned with grace and bounty from God; no harm befell them.” The verse falls in Juz 4 of the Medinan surah.
